In an effort to grow out my hair for real this time, I am resisting the urge to take every pair of scissors I own to it. But dear God, the size it's getting! My hair doesn't grow long, see, it really does grow OUT -- like a big mushroom cap on top of my head. And now that it's a bazillion degrees in the city for the next couple of days with humidity soaring to the sun, I can't manage this mop with a strait jacket. Also...it seems I could stand an appointment with my colorist.
Well...good excuse as any to stay in and drink, I guess.
Side note: Today marks two years since the infamous mullet disaster (I remember the date the way you might remember the day your divorce became finalized or when you totaled your car in a head-on collision). Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever have long hair again.

Personally I think it looks fabulous just how it is.

I agree! Look in the mirror and say, "You're beautiful!

Very cute. I like the wavy look.
I haven't dried my hair more than a few times this summer and love the way it's turned out.

I've decided it's useless to fight it, just let the humidity take control, go wavy and act like you meant for it to look this way.

I agree with Samantha -- I think the color is gorgeous, from that photo, and the cut looks cute too, especially with those waves! Just hang in there, if you want to grow it longer. I know I reached a point, though, once I actually started growing my hair out, when I was just ready to cut it all off again! I can never seem to actually grow my hair out long... I think I'm just destined to always have short hair!

I think it looks great on you, but my hair is doing the same thing. (My hair stylist decided to cut it short on top; it reminded me of your mullet.) Right now, it's long enough to put in a tiny ponytail, but until about 2 weeks ago, I was breaking it up by putting it in a ponytail on top so my hair wasn't so big. I know you haven't done that since... well, I don't ever remember you wearing your hair like that, even in the 80s, but it helps. It helped me when I was trying to read and my hair fell down in my face. You could at least do it at home. Plus, you always looks fabulous in scarves and scarved headbands.

The mullet was 2 years ago already?! Good lord!
The new hair looks great, even if you have to fight with it a little it's great!

I love your hair like that, Wendy! I wish I could get mine to be wavy instead of just completely curly.

I'd recommend an appointment with a flat iron. Makes your hair look MILES long! And I'm quite convinced it helps keep the frizzies away too!

oh, it's cute! i would give anything for my hair not to be so FLAT... grass is always greener, eh?
